An idea of the final product.
Getting there, my first attempt at colouring in photoshop so not the best but i didn't lose too much line quality. Next up the animatable parts.

Back to 2D. We dropped the 3D max background in the end, just didn't look as nice. Compositing every object as a seperate layer because its going to be shot in 3D. Exciting, painstaking stuff!

Proposed Layout roughs I did this evening for my mate Sophie's upcoming Film, - a film which proposes to blend live action with 2D and 3D.... sounds cool. referencing internal clock parts with a steampunk style. I might try this in 3D.
